sir, i am a frequent traveller by train to various of country. i plan to book my tickets well in advance and most of the time 90 days before as per the railway rules.i found that most of the time i request of lower berth and i get invaraiably in the last coupe that is berth no 65 and 68 which is near the door. i am 58yrs and my wife is 56 years. the door is not locked becasue passengers come in and go out and some passengers they get in and dont close the door. the safety is always at risk in the night. the TTE is not available after checking the tickets. added to that unauthorised passenger also get in and sleep near the toilets. even though we book the tickets in advance the berths are allottd near enterance of the door causing saftey hazard and stinking smell of the toilets and causing sleepless night and also fear as our berth just near the door. i request the railways to allot the berth starting from middle or indicate the berth numbers available for selection just like it is shown while making the bus reservations. this will help the passengers who book the ticket well in advance to opt for their best berth. now in present system the late comers will get the best berths. passengers booked well in advance have to stay put in with the stinking smell of the toilets and by facing the risk of having berth nearer to the door.

sir, when we make internet reservation, we are not able to make a through ticket. for example if i wan to go to jammu, i have to book two separate tickets from hyd to delhi and delhi to jammu. there by the customer has to pay more money by booking two separate tickets.the same ticket if i book in the counter i pay less becasue the ticket is issued on telescopic fare from hyd to o jammu and reservation is made in two partsfrom hyd to delhi and delhi to jammu. similarly when the computer and communication technology is improving leaps and bounds, it may not be difficult for the railways to introduce software in the system to faclitate booking of onward reservation also in one ticket with telescopic fare. further return journey ticket provision can also be made in one transaction. railways are requested to look into these facilities.

Sir, i have been frequently travelling to bangalore by train no.2785. it seldom reaches bangalore station in time 0640hrs. from yelanka it stops at various places and getting delayed in reaching the desination. now it also made as super fast train with surcharge. kindly look ino it that the train reaches at 0640 hrs.
